We can give our kids everything, from iPads to the latest clothes, you name it and with the power of social media, they see and want even more.
But I think the best thing we can give our kids is perspective.
Years ago, my daughter and I and 17 other moms and kids went to El Salvador and gave back.
We didn’t just shake hands and smile. We dove into helping this poor community. We got dirty, covered in paint and it was amazing.
Anna saw what happens and how much actually can be done when you pull together a pretty good size group of people to go into a third-world country and be part of a solution. And I’m so proud of her for recognizing the impact of that experience on her.
